Completed in one day as an outpatient procedure, prostate brachytherapy treatment may be beneficial for patients in all stages. As with all brachytherapy procedures, radioactive seeds are implanted into the tumor permanently, delivering radiation internally and only to the affected site.

This course of treatment is often the only treatment needed for early-stage patients, while laterstage patients can use it for additional radiation therapy following external radiation treatment.
